Roadmap

In short, Gamma number is the version number of the Supernova mainnet, and implies major updates.

Gamma-ray burst is one of the most remarkable astro-phenomenon and the collapse of a supernova is considered to be its origin. Since the collapse of the supernova results in gamma-ray bursts and creates a strong influence across the cosmos, we’ve named our updates ‘Gamma’.

Gamma 1​

The whitepaper is about the 1st version of our mainnet, Gamma 1, and the features that will go live in Gamma 1 will become the foundation for the future updates to come.

The features that will go live in Gamma 1 are:

  • Auto-compounding & liquid staking.
  • DEX for swapping the shadow tokens to the original token.

Gamma 2​

As we have emphasized a lot in our previous writings, shadow tokens are meaningless unless it has solid utility. Therefore, we shall focus on increasing the utility of the shadow tokens during Gamma 2.

  • Enabling minting over-collateralized stablecoin through collateralizing shadow tokens.
  • We will create a vault that can be used to liquidate the collateral, and also create a savings model that provides passive income.
  • We believe the stable swap logic is not appropriate for liquid staking and came up with a new swap called ‘staked swap’.

Gamma 3​

In Gamma 3, we will develop all the components that will make Supernova "the ultimate platform for staked assets". The representing component will be the governance aggregation.

  • Supernova validator on each chains will have the voting power and how the validator votes can be decided through governance on the Supernova app-chain. This is what makes Supernova a ‘governance aggregation platform’ of Cosmos.
  • snAsset holders will have the right to veto certain governance decisions.
  • We will add features that will enhance user experience like chain status alarm bots.
